Tamie Phan

Assistant Vice President of Global Inclusion & Diversity — State Street, Corp.

Tamie is a financial services professional with 11+ years of experience, specializing in inclusion & diversity and recruitment.

In her current role, Tamie serves as an Inclusion & Diversity Regional Manager at State Street.  There, she is responsible for some of the team’s key initiatives and projects such as the global training on unconscious bias and the analysis of the structure & performance of global ERGs.  Tamie also oversees key sponsorships and relationships with relative external diversity partners including The People Development Team (PDT), National Associations of Black Accountants (NABA), National Association of Asian American Professionals (NAAAP), and Color Magazine.

Prior to this role, Tamie was a manager of the Diversity Consulting and Sourcing Office.  There, she helped build the team from the ground up and was also responsible for driving recruitment at national diversity conferences.  Tamie has also helped launch a global leadership rotational program for college graduates from zero to 10+ years of experience.

In other professional involvements, Tamie has served as a Steering Committee Member on State Street’s Asian Professionals Alliance group.  In this capacity, Tamie spear-headed the group’s Professional Development Subcommittee and established an effective operational model with clearly defined roles and responsibilities.  She also assembled the Commerce Subcommittee and helped the team kick off its mission.

Tamie is originally from Vietnam and has resided in various communities within Massachusetts since the age of 9.  There, she attained her B.S. in Management from the University of Massachusetts, Boston.  Tamie is also a proud mom of the most loving and gorgeous baby girl.
