New York, NY — “If you don’t jump, you’re never going to do it.” These were the words of encouragement that moved Diana Lee, ELI-MP to leverage thirty years of automotive experience to launch Constellation Agency, a digital advertising and marketing technology company in 2016.
Since its founding Constellation has reported around 700% revenue growth in 2017, and may nearly double that figure by the end of 2018. While Constellation’s future looks bright, rapid growth in such a short period of time presents its own challenges.
“From starting the company without any office space to moving six times in two years and hiring talented candidates to meet increasing client demand, I’m continually pivoting and adapting in order to be successful,” Lee said.
Having successfully become a certified digital media provider for the Volkswagen Digital Dealer Program, and supported numerous Audi dealers in the Northeast, Lee is more than equipped to rise to the challenge.
Currently, Lee oversees the operations, sales, and client relations aspects at Constellation. In addition, Lee prioritizes diversity and inclusion in each aspect of the company, from its executive team and staff to its commitment to multicultural, in-language digital marketing products.
“The automotive industry is male-dominated and needs more diversity. It’s a challenge, but for women who are smart, driven, and outspoken there are tremendous advancement opportunities,” she said.
Lee empowers the women of Constellation Agency to challenge the status quo. Inspired by a commencement speech from American Soccer player Abby Wambach, Lee coaches her team to “be the wolf, not little red riding hood.”
“Don’t feel bad for asking for what you deserve,” she said.
“While pursuing my coaching degree, I learned that being a leader involves asking more questions. The answers we need can be found within us. We all have the ability to problem solve and it’s empowering to know that you are a part of the solution,” Lee commented.
Lee is driven by a belief that growth comes with faith in yourself and a willingness to take risks. She is proud to represent multicultural communities as a leader in diverse marketing.
“There is no better time than now to be a woman of Color. The #MeToo movement has done a lot to empower women. We must continue supporting and advocating for each other. It’s the only way to make the world a better place for [the next generation].”
Diana Lee will serve as an Executive Panelist at the SOLD OUT Women of Color Leadership and Empowerment Conference hosted by State Street Corp on Friday, June 22nd, 2018.
