Local Entrepreneur to Host Mattapan’s Largest Professional Development Summit for Millennials of Color
Boston, MA — On Saturday, September 14th, 2019, Kurt Faustin, a local entrepreneur and motivational speaker will host his first summit, “The Recipe,” a day-long conference dedicated to empowering young professionals of color by providing them with the tools to fully pursue their dreams and present their gift to the world.
Motivated by the 2015 Color of Wealth report that revealed that the median wealth for Black households in Boston was just $8 compared to $247,500 for white households, Kurt Faustin felt inspired to create “The Recipe” for young professionals of color in the city of Boston to equip them with the necessary knowledge and resources to change the trajectory for the decline of Black wealth in this city.
“From the failures of our schools not teaching us topics such as financial literacy and mental wellness, to the lack of representation present in this city, a lot of us are struggling with accessing the ingredients to be successful,” said Faustin, founder of The Recipe Summit. “That is one of many reasons why I am putting together this summit specifically catered to young professionals of color who are from our city.”
The Recipe Summit will take place in Mattapan, MA and will host over 200 attendees and bring national speakers to host workshops around the topics of Self-Love and Relationships, Finance and Entrepreneurship, Health & Wellness, Motivation, and Inspiration.
