In partnership with the historic Arlington Street Church in Boston, Black Lives Matter Boston presents IMAGINE! Encouragement, Inspiration, and Radical Imagination: Art as Resistance. The evening will take a close look at the black radical imagination, revolutionary art and its role in social movements. In other words, what is the role of art in radical Black liberation struggles? The evening is filled with ritual, art and artistic expressions, audience participation and dialogue for deepening community understanding, strengthening human solidarity, and radical movement building.
The forum will include an open discussion with Principal of the Dignity Project International Rev. Karlene Griffiths Sekou, Spoken Word Artist and Educator Neiel Israel, and Raptivist and Psychotherapist Genesis Blu.
IMAGINE! Encouragement, Inspiration, and Radical Imagination: Art as Resistance takes place Sun, Jan. 21, from 3-5:30 PM at the Arlington Street Church. Tickets $35 (No one turned away due to funds.) For more information click HERE or Email [email protected]
