Shilpa Pherwani is the Principal and Chief Executive Officer of IBIS Consulting Group, Inc. IBIS is a recognized leader in the world of global diversity and inclusion (D&I), providing consulting and training services to clients from all sectors and of all-sizes around the globe. IBIS’s clients range from Fortune 100 and 500 companies, large academic institutions to nonprofits. Shilpa guides organizations in developing and achieving their D&I business goals, partnering with HR and D&I business leaders, and conducting cultural assessments. She also helps in developing strategic plans, creating diversity councils and Business Resource Groups, as well as designing and delivering training throughout organizations. Shilpa’s current focus is on helping organizations address unconscious biases in individuals and in systems, including recruitment and hiring, career development, performance review, and global/cross-cultural collaboration.
Shilpa was a pioneer in developing computer-based D&I training—spearheading IBIS’s innovative e-learning programs. These creative and interactive online solutions have provided diversity and unconscious bias learning experiences to over half a million employees over the globe, and they are consistently rated best in class. Shilpa is an organizational psychologist by training, and has been a key part of IBIS for nearly twenty of its thirty years.
