Yuisa Pérez
Chief People Officer — Museum of Science
Yuisa Pérez joins the Museum of Science, Boston as the first Chief People Officer. Pérez leads the Museum’s Human Resources Division, helping the Museum build an innovative, inclusive and high-performing culture. Pérez also works in partnership with the Museum’s staff-lead Diversity, Equity, Access, and Inclusion committee to continue to foster equity and diversity strategies across the organization. Yuisa brings over 20 years of experience as a passionate human resources leader, K-12 educator, and a champion for creating vibrant spaces for all communities to realize their natural talent.
Prior to Yuisa joining the Museum of Science, she served as Senior Director of Human Resources at Family Health Center of Worcester, Inc., leading the human resources department for a federally qualified community health center, where she successfully implemented opportunities that celebrated individuals’ unique talents through operational structures that meet the needs of the workforce.
Prior to that, Yuisa was an educator in public schools in Connecticut and Massachusetts, where she dedicated herself in creating connections between the school, families, and the community. She worked closely with students of color to increase participation rates in STEM programming and Advanced Placement courses by infusing culturally responsive practices that mirror the diversity of the community.
