Thaddeus Thompson is currently Administrative Director, Clinical & Perioperative Services and Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer at Martha’s Vineyard Hospital. He has 25 years of experience spanning work as a clinician, consultant and administrator with organizations throughout the United States. Thaddeus began his management career with Ernst & Young Consulting working on engagements across the healthcare sector that included hospitals, integrated delivery systems, public health agencies and insurance companies. For the last 20 years, his work has focused on healthcare operations improvement and business development. Thaddeus has demonstrated success developing and implementing strategic initiatives in large health systems, academic medical centers, community, specialty and critical access hospitals as well as improving patient satisfaction, business performance and employee/provider engagement.
Thaddeus is a member of the Massachusetts Health and Hospital Association’s Standing Committee on Diversity, Health Equity & Inclusion Council. He is board-certified in healthcare management as a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executive; a member of the National Association of Health Services Executives and a licensed physical therapist. He received his Master in Healthcare Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from Florida A&M University.
