Tonight at the Huntington Theatre (264 Huntington Avenue, Boston, Massachusetts 02115), Evening of Inspired Leaders brings together exceptional leaders from diverse fields to read a favorite poem and reflect on its connection to their life and work. Our fourth Evening of Inspired Leaders kicks off Mass Poetry’s 10th anniversary year and will lift your spirits, inspire, and delight you! Featuring:

  • Charlie Baker, Governor of Massachusetts (by video)
  • Jonathan Bush, CEO, and President of athenahealth, Inc.
  • Jim Canales, President and Trustee of the Barr Foundation
  • Tommy Chang, Superintendent of Boston Public Schools
  • Celeste Ng, bestselling author of Everything I Never Told You and Little Fires Everywhere
  • Ayanna Pressley, Boston City Councilor
  • Karim Sahyoun, Co-founder and EVP of Blue Print Robotics
  • and more!

Evening of Inspired Leaders, is inspired by our friends at Favorite Poem Project, is more than an energizing program. It is also Mass Poetry’s biggest fundraiser, allowing us to produce our dynamic roster of free and low-cost year-round programs that broaden the audience for poetry and support poets and poetry in Massachusetts. Proceeds make it possible for schools to bring hundreds of students to Student Day of Poetry Festivals for only $50 per school (for which we also offer fee waivers for schools that can’t afford to pay), to put free poems on buses, subways, and sidewalks, to keep the ticket price for the Mass Poetry Festival as low as we possibly can, and to pay poets for their work.

Online Ticket Sales have CLOSED but Tickets may be purchased at the door.
