Dr. Teresa Nelson is a Professor at Simmons University Business School and a Principal of The Impact Seat, a research and consulting practice focused on inclusive innovation (www.impactseat.com). “My goal is to be an academic-practitioner bridge sharing the science of inclusion with companies that want to realize the social and economic returns that come from managing diversity well.” Nelson’s research portfolio is recognized worldwide and she has translated findings into usable tools for companies to solve problems related to building a diversity strategy; meeting demographic diversity goals in training, risk management and talent management; and  improving manager and team innovation capabilities. Nelson holds an MBA and a PhD in business with a focus in strategic management.
