The Queen Bey takes on the role of opera’s ultimate seductress! In her film debut, Beyoncé is Carmen, an aspiring actress from the streets of Philadelphia who knows exactly how to get what she wants—until fate catches up with her. With rap, hip hop, and reimagined melodies from the opera, this made-for-MTV cult classic also features Mekhi Phifer, Mos Def, and Wyclef Jean.

Kick off the evening with a performance by Jennifer Johnson Cano, starring as Carmen in the Boston Lyric Opera production, September 23 – October 2.
