On Monday, September 19th, 2016, The Boston Center for Adult Education (BCAE) is joining forces with Boston Lyric Opera (BLO) for an in-depth look into one of opera’s most well-known pieces of work; Carmen. While listening to the astounding breaks of convention and intricacies of French composer Georges Bizet’s work, students attending A Taste of Carmen will simultaneously enjoy the exotic flavors of Spain with wine tastings and tapas.

From 7:00PM-8:30PM, students will relive the history of opera’s most notorious femme fatale, Carmen, as BLO retells this thrilling love story through the sounds of Bizet’s work, all while immersing themselves completely into the Spanish culture with wines and tapas inspired by the regions of Spain.

Students in attendance will also receive a 20% discount off of the price of a single ticket for the BLO’s Carmen, performing September 23rd through October 2nd, 2016.  For more information or to reserve a spot, visit www.bcae.org or call (617) 267-4430 for more information.
