Brookview House Hosts Power of the Purse

Brookview House will host “Power of the Purse: Investing, Building Wealth and Financial Independence” to financially empower low-income women. The “Power of the Purse” luncheon will include opening remarks from Massachusetts Lieutenant Governor Karyn Polito, a panel discussion led by Harvard Law School lecturer Stephanie Robinson, Esq., and an auction of purses from powerful women. “Power of the Purse” will be held on April 7th from 11:30am-1:30pm at the Exchange Conference Center in Boston’s historic waterfront district.

Panelists include Valerie Galinskaya, Director of the Center for Family Wealth Dynamics and Governance at Merrill Lynch; Amanda Reeves, Senior Legal Analyst and Brown Brothers Harriman; Jackie Shoback, Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer at Boston Private Financial Holdings; and AJ Williams, President of AJ Williams Events.

The powerful women who donated purses to be auctioned include Senator of Massachusetts Elizabeth Warren; former First Lady of Massachusetts Diane Patrick; Businesswoman & investor Jamie McCourt; Carole C. Wedge, President of Shepley & Bulfinch, a national architecture and design firm; Carmen Fields, TV Producer and Host of “Higher Ground”; purse designer, Lindsay Tia, and more.
