Alpa Inamdar
Head of Americas for Business Change Group – BNY Mellon
Alpa joined BNY Mellon in March 2014 and is the Head of the Americas Business Change Group within Asset Servicing, where she is responsible for the management and oversight of client implementations. She oversees the development and execution of cross functional transition plans for new business opportunities and high profile, complex initiatives for existing clients. Alpa’s team of project managers are located in Pittsburgh, Boston, and New York.
Alpa is responsible for strategic planning, organizational restructuring, client relationship management, compliance, and legal. Prior to joining BNY Mellon, Alpa served as Vice President and Chief of Staff in the Regulatory and Tax Operations division at Goldman Sachs & Company. She was a global project manager for the Federal Preparedness program. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Alpa served as Cost Allocation Specialist for Societe Generale. She led various assignments at Fluor Daniel Corporation including overseeing a Nuclear Waste clean-up project costing in excess of $5 billion and the implementation of an SAP system. She has a successful track record in risk management, process improvements, and project management.
At BNY Mellon, Alpa is a co-chair for the IMPACT South Asian Leadership Hub and YWCA Partnership Committee. In her role as co-chair of IMPACT, she is responsible for planning and executing client-centric and cultural events for all employees of the bank. She most recently organized an executive panel and fireside chat featuring Padma Lakshmi, which was attended by over 400 executives from BNY Mellon, American Express, RBC, and Time Inc. Previously, she co-hosted an event with the Council of Urban Professionals (CUP) to offer exclusive access to a private screening of Disney’s upcoming movie, Queen of Katwe. Alpa has also led the Next Generation Community Event for the children of Goldman Sachs employees. She is a member of the Junior Achievement Program, a United Way ambassador, and a board member of her town’s Parent Teacher Organization.
Alpa holds a B.A. and an M.B.A in Finance with Cum Laude status from California State University.
