The 18th Roxbury International Film Festival

The largest New England film festival dedicated to celebrating film by, for and about people of color, the 18th Annual Roxbury International Film Festival gives voice to diverse cultures both local and worldwide. This year’s festival includes Damon Kwame Mason’s Soul on Ice: Past, Present and Future, a film that brings to light the contributions of black players to ice hockey. Also, don’t miss the opening night films The Amazing Nina Simone followed by a musical performance by acclaimed vocalist Valerie Stephens, and Driving While Black.
