Combo Sabroso will bring down the house on Saturday, May 20 with their inspired salsa arrangements of American R&B hits & reggae versions of massive pop hits from throughout the years.
Led by pianist Matt Jenson, a long-time ACA studio artist and local musician, the 6 piece group is committed to the hard hitting salsa dura sound of the 1970s, playing hits from the likes of Tito Puente, Eddie Palmieri, Oscar Dleon, Sonora Poncena and more!
Their repertoire includes compositions that range in style from Cha Cha to Danzon, from Bolero to Salsa, from Latin jazz to Plena, and the one drop reggae riddim.
The Salsa y Reggae Dance Party with Combo Sabroso takes place on Saturday, May 20. Showrime is 7-10:30 PM. Tickets: $25. Proceeds will support the ACA Future Fund Capital Campaign, creating and sustaining a new home for the Arlington Center for the Arts.
