Sadie Burton-Goss, Ph.D.
Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer — Babson College
Dr. Sadie Burton-Goss is the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer (CDIO) at Babson College. As CDIO she provides collaborative strategic leadership and counsel. She works in partnership with Babson’s senior leaders to continuously cultivate and sustain a diverse and inclusive community for students, faculty, and staff embracing and celebrating a diversity of all kinds.
Acknowledged as one of the pioneering senior leaders in this field, Dr. Goss brings over twenty years of experience designing, leading, and implementing diversity-related initiatives in government, financial services, retail, insurance, technology, and healthcare organizations. As Managing Partner and Founder of Goss Associates, she and her team were highly sought after when organizations were finally ready to address their most complex diversity and inclusion challenges.
Goss Associates became highly reputable for delivering on “the tough work” after more common approaches had not quite hit the mark. Dr. Goss’ interest is in both the “art and science” of diversity and inclusion initiatives acknowledging that the details are in the data. She believes that guiding organizations and senior leaders to boldly live out the essence of their organizational missions, visions, and values through diversity training, consulting, and coaching strategies create powerful possibilities not just for some of us, but for all of us.
Dr. Goss received her Masters and Ph.D. degrees from Lesley University and her B.A. from Wellesley College. She has worked and traveled throughout the United States, Canada, Africa, the Caribbean, Europe, and most recently Cuba to examine issues of race, gender, equity, diversity, and inclusion.
