In 2016, Rashad campaigned as one of Baltimore City Council’s youngest Democratic candidates and is a graduate student at University of Baltimore, toward a graduate degree in Masters of Public Administration.
Rashad is a member of the BBCLF Fellowship for the Campaign for Black Male Achievement and Johns Hopkins Bunting Neighborhood Leadership Program Fellowship and recipient of Community Law in Action’s “Inspiring Voices Award.”
Rashad works for Family League of Baltimore as a youth and community engagement specialist and is constructing a youth advisory council of diverse youth leaders to promote youth’s voice and insight in city agency decision-making processes.
A self-proclaimed “Catalyst of Change,” Rashad’s mantra is “I may not be the one who will change the world, but I will spark the minds of others who will.”
