What better way to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. than at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston? On Monday, January 16th the MFA will be having a complimentary open house in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
There will be activities for Bostonians of all ages! From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., there will be art-making, a story hour, gallery tours, and even musical performances. Be sure to check out the Community Arts Initiative Partner Spotlight, which will include work from students. Take part in the construction of a special mural by the Artists from Humanity, that will hold themes of unity, social justice, and equality.
The Wilson/Cortor Exhibit will also be on display, so that visitors can view the contemporary artists’ fifty different works.
This event is sponsored by Citizens Bank. Mayor Martin J. Walsh will be in attendance and is due to give opening remarks in remembrance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
