A special Kumamoto Earthquake Benefit Concert will be held May 26, 2017 from 6:30 – 7:30PM at the W. H. Lincoln School in Brookline.

A series of major earthquakes beginning on April 14, 2014, with epicenters in Kumamoto Prefecture, damaged a wide area in the south part of Japan. Many lives were lost in the disaster, and the number is still increasing from the aftermath. About 3,000 others were injured, and 45,000 people still cannot return to their homes.

The aim of the benefit concert is to support the handicapped children in Kumamoto who lost their self-reliance support facilities due to the earthquakes. Proceeds will go towards working on restoring facilities for children with special needs, as some of those facilities are still in unusable state.

Tickets for the Kumamoto Earthquake Benefit Concert will be available at W. H. Lincoln School from May 22-26. Adult: $10, Child: $5.
