Carla Carten, PhD

Dr. Carla Carten works throughout Mass General Brigham health care system to realize our vision and work our mission through a robust diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism strategy. I have a PhD in Organizational Behavior, a Masters in Organizational Development, and over 25 years of experience as organizational development and diversity management consultant, facilitator, and educator; domestic and international. Her expertise is building organizational capacity by harnessing the power of diversity within all levels of organizational systems for organizational transformation, leadership development, change management, and continuous learning. She implements the philosophy and practice of Appreciative Inquiry and Community-Based Participatory Research, especially addressing health equity.
