Amri B. Johnson

Amri B. Johnson is an author, speaker, organizational change and innovation professional working with to create new possibilities in organizations. Currently, as Global Head, Diversity and Inclusion at the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR), Amri leads a team focused on acting as catalysts for an organizational culture committed to thriving via learning and implementation of inclusion principles in its practices and systems for the organization, its people, and patients in need—its reason to exist.
Prior to Novartis, Amri founded Velox Human Capital Solutions (previously WellSolve HRN), a boutique, design-oriented consulting firm based in Atlanta, GA. Velox was the parent company of Diversity HealthWorks that contributed to healthcare organizations creating results by making seamless connections between quality and cultural competence.
He holds a B.A. in English from Morehouse College and a Master’s in Public Health in Epidemiology from the Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. focused on collaborative decision-making.
A native Kansan, Amri is an avid reader, speaks Portuguese, enjoys swimming, global travels and lives in Cambridge, MA.
