Live Bird is a one-man play celebrating the life and music of the legendary jazz saxophonist Charlie “Bird” Parker written, directed, and performed by Jeff Robinson.

The play is set in a bar in NYC in the summer of 1947 and is an intimate floor stage play that allows you to really experience what it was like to be in the room with Parker himself. Robinson is an actor-saxophonist hailing from St. Louis, now local to Arlington. He graduated from Berklee College and having done extensive research on Charlie Parker, has his demeanor and influence down pat. Come enjoy, not only the soulful stylings of Parker, but the atmosphere he created, and the visual of his life in a moment.

Live Bird will be performed at the Multicultural Arts Center on Saturday, September 10. Showtime is  8 PM. Tickets are $20 General Seating / $15 students, seniors (65+) with ID.
